Join the IAIDQ (British Isles CoP), the BCS Wales, and the Open University in Wales as we host a two-day conference in the IAIDQ's world-wide IDQ (Information & Data Quality) Seminar Series.

Hear leading leading experts in the field of Information Quality share with you their insights and experiences. Learn:

  • How Information Quality risks are pervasive in your organisation (and what you can do to avoid them)
  • Proven approaches to communicating the value of information and the value of information quality to your stakeholders.
  • How an Information Quality based approach to other Regulatory and Compliance challenges can help reap quick rewards in these and other areas of your business.

Day 1 (Conference):

    • Join Daragh O Brien,  leading author and researcher and consultant in the field of Information Quality as he shares clear insights into the relationship between Data Protection and Information Quality.
    • Develop an understanding of how DP vs IQ is not an "either/or" equation but rather a situation where one hand can and should wash the other, leading to effective wins in relation to your DP obligations but also helping to embed a Quality Culture for Information in your organisation that can help other Regulatory and Commercial challenges.
    • See how defining metrics and a value proposition for information quality can help you beproactive in your Data Protection management rather than reactive.
  • 14:00 to 17:00 -Orchestrating the Data Governance Process (Guy Tozer, Doriq Consulting [UK]).
    • Join Guy Tozer as he shares some compelling insights based on his decades of experience in the field of Information Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Quality.
    • Explore the use of workflow models and software to add rigour to the performance of Data Governance activities.
    • Be led through the design of an orchestrated approach to DG, learning how to make use of software tools to automate DG workflows.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of:
      • The knowledge model (metamodel) for Data Governance
      • A template for Data Governance work flows
      • The interdependencies between the knowledge model and the workflow model
      • Examples and demonstrations of how DG orchestration is achieved using Enterprise Content Management and Workflow Management software (both open source and proprietary)
      • How the workflow and knowledge models can be extended to provide seamless integration with other disciplines (e.g. Project Management, Infrastructure Management (ITIL), Enterprise Architecture, etc.)
